We are located in Southern Alberta in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. How does the blade work?

The blade is hydraulicly operated and requires a remote on the tractor. The blade will be positioned about 1" above the ground, leveling off the mounds. When a large or submerged rock is struck, the springs will compress and lift over the rock. The cutting edge is bolted grader blade, we have never even seen one wear out! The box blade will hold dirt and rocks under in the blade, eliminating "rows" in your fields from escaped rocks and forcing all debris under the drum.
