Land Rollers...

From a single 16' custom roller to a complete lineup up to 45' — Hilltop Manufacturing has spent two decades building machines that do the job and more...

It started 20 years ago with a request from a neighbor:

“Can you build me a roller to level these moles? Oh and I don't what it to break.”

We built him a custom 16' roller — the very first Hilltop prototype. To this day, two decades later, it still runs every single spring. And he now owns a brand-new Hilltop roller as well.

That’s the level of longevity we build for.

WHAT FARMERS ALWAYS ASK

Will it smooth ALL the mounds?
Will it flatten grassed-over humps?
Will it push rocks into the ground?

After 20 years of real-world testing, the answer is simple:

Yes — to all of it.

Our rollers are built heavy, pushing everything except boulders back into the soil.
And our spring-mounted blade cuts down ridges, mounds, and grassed-over spots with ease.

BUILT FOR YOUR FARM

The original design worked so well that it grew into a full product line.

We now offer rollers from 14' to 45', giving you the right size for:

Lets talk about numbers

As an investment, it is important that this roller is profitable. A roller must make sense as an investment.

Here is a short outline of what the investment will look like and how this will be profitable.

Cost of taking no action

  • With the mole and gopher mounds many farmers are forced to reseed hay, on average every 5-7 years.
  • Rough fields will force you to slow down ~2 miles per hour, cutting, raking, baling, and hauling the off the field, doubled if you get 2 cuts per year.
  • Rocks will cause damage to your cutting equipment.
  • Rough fields will cause damage to your tractors and equipment.

Cost savings and profit

  • Increased working speed of 2 mph, saving precious time in the busiest time of the year. The increased working speed will save up to 20% of your time, saving fuel, time, and operation costs each year.
  • The smoother fields will reduce equipment maintenance.
  • There will be no more dirt and rocks in your equipment and hay.
  • If you have moles and gophers, your neighbor does too, that is why many farmer generate rental income with their machine, an estimated rental income would be 1% of the machine value per day.
  • Once time, fuel, operating cost and equipment wear is accounted for, a land roller with a blade will pay for it self many times over the investment cycle.
  • The blade can be lifted and used for conventional rolling as well, making this the most profitable roller on the market.

Each case study is unique to your farm, we would need to know how many hay acers, how many cuts per year and current operating speeds to accurately determine which roller will make the most sense for your farm.

We can find all the specific information for your farm, we can tell you which roller will be the best investment for you. And if we do not have a roller that would yield the return we are looking for, we can point you in the right direction, even if it's to a different company!
